Middlebury
College has several summer-session intensive language learning
programs. My academic advisor in Madison is a director there,
and he talked me into taking the 9 week Russian immersion course
where one is not allowed to speak any English or be exposed to
any English-language media. (I cheated and continued using the
internet.)
The fun thing about reading these entries is that you can watch
me slowly crack.

1st, 2003 - Dec. 18th, 2003: Russia, primarily St. Petersburg,
but also Tatarstan, Nizhniy Novgorod, Moscow, Pskov and Velikiy

Ah,
study abroad in the land of Pushkin, Lenin, St. Princess Olga
and vodka. Suffice it to say, it was a trip. Well, except
the parts I spent in class at Hertzen University. Those parts
were kind of lame.
